I had dinner with a friend last night, told me a story of diving in Jamaica with two women who went topless (other than a BC of course). She is newly certified and was asking me if I had ever seen that before and my opinion of it. I know my opinion, but I am just curious as to see the general consensus of the board.....

Any thoughts?

Um... my opinion is that the "girls" wouldn't be happy with me if I went completely topless. If you had a zip up BC, or are mammary gland challenged, then I could see it being quite comfortable. I just have a hard time seeing mine floating ahead of me as I move in to better see that white tip reef shark.

Nope, my "girls" get only the best... and if they're going to be exposed, the only eyes looking at them will be human! :wavey:

I don't think I can see a benefit of diving topless. I can understand being nude topside. (No tan lines :wavey: ) but wearing a BC and diving, I just can't see it.

I would not want to wear my BC without something under to protect "the girls".

I think I will reserve going topless for my above the water beach activities. :cool2:

I have to agree with the other ladies...topless above the water (cept for speacial occassions) but anytime there are tanks and gear involved i'll be wearing a suit!

I've seen it a few times, but it's pretty rare.

I've never seen any ladies topless while diving. It would be interesting though. :wavey:

Having been chaffed by my BC when diving without a wet suit I can't imagine a woman wearing a BC topless, maybe we can talk them into wings and a back plate!

Actually topless is optional but bottomless is required.

Actually, bottomless is also optional, but the suit has to allow access.

Wings and a backplate is a type of BC. Unless you put padding on the nylon webbing, it's likely to chafe more than the fabric on most other BCs.

Well I took the Patty speciality and bottomless was required. Who did you take it from?
