Hey you MidWestern folks! Seems like everyone is planning Happy Hours and I want to see who in the MidWest is interested in having one?

I love the idea of a Midwest happy hour, and have even suggested it before, and got no response. My question is - how do you figure Indianapolis, IN is anywhere near the center of the "Midwest"? A couple of more miles and you'd be a Easterner. If we could add a bit more West to the Midwest - it would help.

I was hoping for one of these.....and I'll offer that the Chicago area might be produce a bigger group/gathering, but thats just an offer.

Well my only issue with Chicago is that we have KY and TN ppl who would ahve quite a drive. I just thought that since Indy had all the major interstates running right to it, might make it easier. We can set it up more the the west, maybe towards IL 
I just do not know the places there like I do here. I will start searching though! And if everyone is willing than Chicago wont be out of the question. I will start looking and keep you all posted!

I'm more than happy to party with the KY and TN crowd and I would probably make the drive for an IN happy hour. But KY and TN are hardly Midwest. (perhaps a name change) if you need any help scouting locations etc . . . in the IL,MO,IA,NE area - let me know. Nebraska could lure in our new CO crew.

Well since the MidWest covers 12 states: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota and North Dakota.
Since that is such a large area, maybe we can split it up:
West-MidWest and East-MidWest..... lol
This way no one has to go an amazing distance just for a Happy Hour. What do you think?
Then the Colorado crowd could join those more to the west , and KY and TN can join the ones more to the east.

Count me in Driving doesn't bother me too much, as long as it isn't some backwater shoot and stab we meet at. Plenty of them out here in the middle of nowhere. If we are going to be driving very far how 'bout a little diving also?

More places to meet in/around St. Louis. Mermet Springs is in Mertropolis, Il. Pretty good diving and a casino, but don't know about any meeting places there.If we plan something around Joplin we could hit Oronogo. Or St Louis and do the Bonne Terre Mine. Just thinking out loud.

October is no Good because I'm going to FIJI. Indianapolis/Chicago is a world away so probably wouldn't make the trip. However one never knows. Anything closer... Keep us posted on what you figure out. Hawk... I'm willing to go all the way... No need to be nervous.

I won't be nervous - this time. We'll have to do a few different locations. Heck I've done 5 happy hours in one night - we can pull this off!
