I have a buddy with a boat down in Miami. After Hurricane Dennis did its work, some of his dive buddies down there started calling wanting to make a run to the Spiegel Grove. On Saturday in about six foot seas (forecasters apparently underestimated the wave heights) the current was REALLY moving.
In those kind of conditions, my buddy was relegated from diver to charter boat captain. He simply could not leave the boat. Anyway, to make a short story longer...
While on the boat waiting on his divers to surface (drift diving the the wreck), he heard one of Captain Slate's boats notifying the Coast Guard of a missing diver and that they had divers on the wreck continuing to look for her. After nearly an hour and a half, a boat notifies the Coast Guard they have picked up a female diver about TWO MILES north of the wreck. That's a long way to bob in six foot seas.

thats is a long way to bob.
Glad everything turned out OK
diving in 6 ft + seas with strong currents dosnt sound safe to begin with.

Wonder if she had a sausage! I know Couch Republic hands them out to anyone who doesn't have one (for the dives on their boat).
