Arrived Saturday in time to make a night dive. Then today first dive at Columbia. Saw four turtles (loggerhead, hawksbill plus two others) a small spotted eagle ray and a free swimming moray eel.

Water temp 81 to 82 degrees F.

And no woman with whom to share the dives. Sigh.

Second dive saw my two favorite fishies. Trunk fish and the juvenile fish that is dark blue with irridescent light blue spots and a yellow tail.

Tonight should be at the party in the square and watch the locals dance. I am not allowed to dance there (some reciprocal agreement with Colorado) .

Sounds like you are having a good time. I believe the juvenile fish you are referring to is a yellow tail damsel, one of my favs!

I am jealous, CP. The water on my 2nd dive yesterday was 53. I was freezing the entire time! As added punishment, I "warmed up" on the SI with no sunscreen on my back, so I look like a scary lobster from behind. Cozumel must be nice right now. And I love trunkfishes, they are my favorites! Enjoy your trip!

Sounds like a juvenile yellowtail damsel to me.

CP, you've got the sd.com divas' permission tho dance tonight- just tell the local jefe!!! Have a great time- think of this- if you are alone, you have the opportunity to meet someone new!

Lots of new women here Marvel. Just left the square. Another great night of music and dancing. I started to move my feet a bit in the crowd and soon two policia walked by me. Good thing I had stopped. Would hate to be locked up for dancing in public and miss a day of diving.
