DRbill, The Cruise line is charging $100 for the tow hours excursion which includes the rental. How does that compare to the self booked tour, rembering I have to make it back to the Ship before they set sail with my wife.......Then Again..... :anna:

Hmmm, $100 for a single guided dive with gear rental? I'll have to check on the direct price. Do you know if they contract with Scuba Luv or Catalina Diver's Supply? Although I prefer Scuba Luv, the folks who work for both companies are quite competent.

I know it's on the Green Pier, Diver's Supply might be it, I will have to look it up again. However the search engine is difficult. I know it's the Avalone dive tour

It was good to see our other buddy Jennifer back on line recently.

How is she? Have you been diving with her recently?

Jennifer was on-line on another board. I saw her posting in a thread about the monthly SoCal Wrinkles Dive in Laguna last weekend. I had said I hoped to be there and she said I ought to come, but I didn't make it. Haven't seen or talked to her lately.

If you know what day your cruise is going to be there, please post it.

We live just across the channel and might be able to meet you over there.

Dr. B ... can't you rent everything INCLUDING the wetsuit at the trailer? Seems to me, the first time Wendi and I came over there we rented her a wetsuit, too.

Yep, Jamie, you can rent wetsuits at either shop as well. Of course none are as awesome as my "custom" legless wetsuits!

I did some asking and discovered that the cruise ships charge the same as CDS, so they must get a commission out of that rate. It surprised me to find that out... usually you can get a better price directly than you can from the cruise ship.
