Hey guys,

Just wanted to create a spot for Platypusman to post his video when it is ready. Also feel free to give your opinions of the Stillhouse trip. I would be glad to hear your complaints and your compliments on the lake, the dive shop and personel, organization of the trip, etc. No feelings will get hurt here. I have a few of each myself, I just think it might be great place to get together again, maybe in the spring as Platy suggested, so air your laundry here in case we decide to go there again, we can plan an even better event.

Personally I enjoyed the weekend very much and would like to thank the bunch of you for coming. :birthday: I look forward to seeing you all again as soon as possible somewhere in this Great State we call Texas or anywhere else for that matter!

Adios for now,
Hawkeye1251

Well I had a good time, enjoyed the diving as well as getting to meet a few more people. My big complaint would be that it is to far a drive, after getting back to Midland a little before midnight then getting everything put away just to have work call me and tell me they needed me to come in (joy joy). So if anyone has a big backhoe so we can dig a big hole between here and there lets do it. But besides all of that I had a good time and look forward to diving more of the dive sights that Texas has to offer. I do have a few pics to post but didn't bring the card reader up to work today so maybe tonight if I get home earlier enough, no pics of the big two events as platy has but some shots no one should be offended by.

 Thank you Hawkeye for organizing another great event and scouting this place out for us. I thought it was probably the best lake diving I have experienced so far. The vis was acceptable and we did see some fish. We also saw a lot of trash. :o Maybe we should suggest to Edwin to have a Stillhouse trash cleanup day. I thought Edwin and Mike were very accommodating and friendly. The boat dives were great, but we do need to explore the potential for shore dives as well. The camp grounds were great. Our group had our own private bathrooms and showers. We probably didn't need all three of the screen rooms, so if it's cheaper to get just one or two for the next time, we probably should do that. I had a great time with some great friends and would absolutely like to go back again in the spring and next summer.

What program are you using? If it's Photoshop, can you just go under Image, Image Size, and shrink them down a bit?

I would also like to say Thank You Hawkeye for organizing this event. I had a great time diving with all of you and the camping facilities were well above what I expected (that hot shower felt really good). The dive shop people were friendly and the boats were a great idea. The fossil picking along the shoreline was great too.

The wall dives along the dam were very nice, plenty of fish to see and the vis wasn’t too bad. Wtxblaze (Barry) and I tried a shore dive late Sunday and I would say “I” picked the wrong end of the lake. The shoreline was eroding too heavily at the top of the lake and the vis was down to 3’ or less. But we did learn a useful lesson, dive the walls, less silt better vis.

Not too bad a drive from Houston or Dallas, it was a ways from Midland though.
Berry thanks for making that long drive and thank you again for bring the firewood and your boat, we all enjoyed them both.

Did everyone enjoy Kim’s Birthday party, I think she did, even with the spankings!

Great Place Hawkeye. :D Let’s do it all again next year.

640 pixel width is ideal for posting here. I use LView Pro, but most graphic editors have a similar menu, mine is under image, resize, then it has a choice of units (pixels, inches, centimeters) and/or a percentage. I also try to crop them as much as possible to show only the pertinent stuff. The menu in LView Pro looks like this:

Here are a few pics from the trip

That pic didn't come through very well. Way too large, and this is all I can see of the faces. The guy's expression makes me wonder what's going on below chest level:
