I don't know why the quote button (and a few others) don't work for me.

Bill,

Have you tried using the REPLY button next to the QUOTE button instead? I can't seem to get the QUOTE button to work either, but the REPLY button does include the post you'd like to quote in your response.

Soulmates....hmmmmm Is it not as much a question of finding out truly who you are as finding certain qualities in another. I believe that the phenomenon of "soulmates" is about about finding someone who shares a kindred on spirit.

As people progress through the labyrinth of life there spirit changes and so their search for certain values or traits in another may change as well. This is not always the case as many couples grow together on a similar life path.

I dont think you were "wrong" just because you felt that a particular person was your "soulmate" at a point in your life and it didnt work out. It may very well be that they were but as you grew and they grew due to lifes experiences your spirit changed. you may have reached a point where you didnt compliment and fulfil each other anymore. At this point maybe its time to part ways and pursue other adventures and experiences in life while wishing each other well.

Thats my two cents worth... In a nutshell I believe in the ideal of "soulmates", I just also believe that sometimes "soulmates" follow different paths in the greater scheme of things....

I've decided I don't need a soulmate. I think that's more for the younger ones among us. I just want a woman who is fun to talk to, enjoys some of my activities (diving pretty much a must), cuddles well (and carries it much further with zest), does not like to shop (except for dive gear), doesn't give a damn about keeping up with the Jones' or any of my other neighbors, is kind, and has a large bank account to finance our erotic (er exotic) dive travel.

I agree, Bill, I don't think you need a soulmate either... I reckon you're beyond such whimsical fantasies anyway.

How about a Dorothy Parker/dive goddess/sex kitten/*man* (or once again, dive goddess)/non-conformist/Mother Teresa/sugar mama instead? :welcome:

One should never be beyond fantasizing... sigh. The probvlem is that it is all I do!

Well, I know you're not applying for the position (sigh) but I'd certainly consider a woman who fit such a description. In fact, I'd accept any woman as long as their body is still warm (you know, warm body, check good)!

Finley-

Are you sure we're not sole-mates (as in filet of) and I sure loved that Carole King song back in the 70's.
