"A sight to see" Marvel? It must be all 'Chie's fault because you can see Jamie and I in the dive park with some frequency. I don't see many female divers going crazy looking at us.

Dr. Bill

That's 'cause you're hidden behind all that neopryne & gear....plus, they don't get a chance to hear all that droll & wacky wit.... :teeth: Just don't start any discussions about the mating habits of the critters you saw while women are in hearing distance!

What little project? Whatever it is, I gather it's no fun to be in the control group...

happy2dive...curious....have you always lived in europe?

No, not really. Born in Tokyo moved to Dallas Texas when I was 6 months old, moved to West Berlin when I was four. When I was eight my parents gave me the shocking news that I'm Japanese and that we're going back to Tokyo. There after till age 26, stayed in Tokyo but grew up in the expat community, going to international schools and university. Then 14 years ago I moved to Amsterdam and a couple of years back, I gained a Dutch passport. So I really have difficulty giving a short neat answer to the question, "Where are you from?"

Happy2Dive- The easy answer is "I'm from planet Earth." That covers most of us... except TF, Jextract and a few oters (just teasing you two).

my parents gave me the shocking news that I'm Japanese...

:teeth:

thanks for the explanation. it looks like i might have to ask you to be my international connection! and you're right...being in the control group is no fun. you, however, may get to oversee the entire operations making for an extremely fun experiment. :cool2:

Experiment? I think I was concieved as an experiment by my parents who are both biologists. So I'm not quite sure if I qualify for Dr B's suggestion about being from 'planet earth'. Maybe I'm some accidental byproduct of a bizarre genetic experiment. In fact, and I'm not joking about this bit, a few weeks ago they tell me that I've been exposed to heavy cobalt60 radiation in utero during a laboratory experiment/accident. Why they waited for nearly 40 years to tell me is a mystery. Maybe they were waiting for me to sprout some interesting extra appendages. I must have disappointed them. I only have the standard set of limbs. I still have to find out whether I glow in the dark on night dives.

I think you look and sound quite normal... maybe the diving has erased any vestiges of affect from your in utero experience?? And glowing in the dark on night dives would make you the perfect buddy... easy to find!

Not needing a light on a night dive could come in handy.

Dr. Bill

i assume you meant "others".

or maybe you think we're "otters" cuz we're so comfortable in the water??

or maybe you should learn to keep our secret or we'll have to turn the "no-orgasmatron ray" on you......

'scuse me...dr. zarkov is calling...
