Have you put the word scubadiving in a search engine lately?
OMG theres like two million of these sites related to scubadiving. during our mid november shut-down I was searching for scubadiving places and found a few that might help keep SD in the top scuba sites on the net. a few web sites can actualy help us out like this one TSS Rate or Comment SD Here and there are a few more I will add over the next few weeks. I got the blessing from WW to do this and I have also contacted George to help put their Banner on our SD board. Search engines never sleep and we cant afford to fall asleep either. By helping our SD site stay high in the Internet ratings helps everybody on SD. I invision someday where the vendors of scuba trips and dive resort operators will be contacting SD to give us special pricing because of how we report fairly about the places we go and also provide photo's and commentary.

Help SD stay up in the rankings on the net and if you have other websites that will help SD out please post them on this thread.

Kamala.....I faxed you a couple of months ago....regarding marketing SD on a few search engines ie google, overture etc. Using some of the Keywords I sent you.....the costs are minimal...but then and now do you have the infrastructure to handle it?.....and can the Board handle it? with all the problems you have had lately?

But you can take this to the next level....when you are ready.

Grin. You *know* you've really made it when the porn sites start listing you in their worthless 'keyword pages' (so they get hits from folks walking search engine hits). I was amazed at how many were listing singledivers. Hint: add -sex or -(any of the naughty bits) on Google and it'll cut out a LOT of the garbage sites. Unless you're LOOKING for that sort of thing, of course! I innocently searched for GYPSUM and LATEX once for my drysuit, and BOY! was I shocked at some of the links (hmmm, bookmark *that* one for later...)

A friend was doing a search for a zoo (the animal park) while his young son was looking over his shoulder. OOPS. He couldn't close the graphic pop-ups fast enough. He has a decent 'net nanny' installed, now.

Can't. I have a *really* good junk filter / popup filter, and I don't even see the ScubaToys graphic or the link, unless the link's buried somewhere else.

The 'net is a much happier place without all of the ads..... and it's only VERY rarely inconvenient (like now).
