We've been blown out once. We've been doing it since the turn of the century, this will be number 6..........

You are right, only once. And technically, we've been doing it since before the turn of the century.

Depends on what you're counting. If you mean starting the dive, you are correct. If you mean (as I did) bringing in the New Year underwater, we started at the turn of the century.

Hmmm, I wonder if we can a shore dive that late in Cozumel

that would be such a great way to bring in the New Year, much better than the usual toast at midnight

Barry...you just want to see if I'll dip into the chilly water, don't you! No way I'm traveling to Houston on New Year's. I plan to be at CSSP on the 1st to see how many other goobers there are like you and I out there in the icy slush.

No not really I see enough cold woman on the few dates I do go on. Ready for some of the warmer ones to come along. :birthday:

I'd offer my place but as there are no other Aussies it'll be pretty lonely.

A group of us bring in each New Year underwater in SE Florida if anyone would like to join us.

Walter, an underwater New Years Eve sounds really awesome to me. Unfortunately, I've already spent my pennies for the next month, so looks like it's the Polar Bear dive at CSSP for me. You can count on me coming to Florida in the new year to dive with you, and have already marked my calendar for 12/31/06. (So, unless my imperfect mate materializes out of the blue...well, I guess you're stuck with me.)

If you do, bring him along.

Since diving is a prerequisite for the imperfect man not yet in my life; if he manages to stumble upon me I'm sure he'll love to come along. So either way...you're still stuck with me. Oh...don't think just because I've marked "next" New Year's on the calendar that I'll scrub my plans to come and visit otherwise. Soon as I find a few more coins to slip through the holes in my pockets, I'll find a way to head your way. :-)

The South Florida New Years Eve Dive is an awsome thing. We've been doing it for several years. Sometimes we get blown out, but we still have fun. This year, I have to be a bubble watcher since I will be banned from diving for a few weeks after my knee surgery on Monday. But, I plan to be there.

Bubble watching can be fun! Oh, you're talking about the bubbles in the water as opposed to the glass... :-)

Barry, are you saying I'm cold? Well, let me tell you..... honey I'm so hot the water will be boiling when I slide in! :birthday:
(As evidenced by the steam rising off the Comal this weekend....)
