Previously I had checked something to keep a copy of a sent PM. I've looked but can't find where to do this on the site. I can't remember if I have replied... it's one of those things that happens with time. :P

Now there is a box that lets you check IF you want to keep a copy. It is below the message/text box. (Similar to the one you used to have to uncheck if you didn't want the copy in the old revision of the software.)

Lately I have sent several PMs and none of them are showing up in my Sent Items folder. Is there something wrong with the code for this part of the board or is there a setting that has changed and I can't find how to re-set it?

on this version, you have to check a button at the bottom of the PM for it to go to your sent items

You are very welcome

Can we not have that button checked by default, and uncheck it only when we don't want to save what we sent? The quotas will keep our boxes from becoming too full.

my understanding is that this is a function of the new board software..but, I'll ask Tolly if this can be changed

Can someone tell me how to save a copy of the p.m.'s I send. I've been told that the old default was to save a copy and the new default is to not to save them. Can someone direct me to the area where I can change that default?

Thanks,
Hawkeye

Direct it to the "area" of Tolly. :teeth:

(It's not a default you can change for yourself; George would need to change it for the entire board, I believe.)

In the meantime, under Options, you need to click the box for:

Add a copy of this message to my sent items folder

Currently the individual user has no way of changing that particular default behavior; though that would be a great idea. Instead of all one way, or all the other, we could each then choose the default behavior.
