1:00-2:00 PM FIRST BLOOD-SINKING OF THE U-85
Renowned historian, videographer, and Northeast Dive Charter pioneer
CAPT. BILL PALMER will present a facinating historical and
recreational dive perspective on the U-85, one of the most important
German war wrecks in American waters. She lies in 100 FSW off the
North Carolina Coast.

2:00-3:00 PM DIVING WITH WOLVES
Just one month after the infamy of Pearl Harbor, the fierce and often
fatal battle for control of Northeast waters was underway with more
than 400 vessles sunk by the "Wolfpack" of German U-boats.
Archiologist, underwater photographer and videographer PETER
VENOUTSOS will share his award winning images and unique experiences
in documenting this often forgotten but crutial part of our
underwater heritage

3:30-4:30 PM LONG ISLAND SHIPWRECKS
Noted Northeast wreck explorers and photographers MIKE SAL VAREZZA
and CHRIS WEAVER will take you to some of the best wreckdive sites in
the world, all right here off our Long Island area coast. You will
learn about and "dive" such wrecks as the USS San Diego, Stolt
D'Agali, USS Algol, U-853 and other accessible historic shipwrecks.

Wantagh Parkway to Hempstead Turnpike West OR Meadowbrook Parkway to
Hempstead Turnpike East. NUMC in on the north side of Hempstead

main enterance and ask for the Amphitheatre.
