SD NOVA/DC/MD March Dive of the Month!!

March 4th-5th: Sugar, We're Going Down!!

Try Diving Down Snowshoe Mountain, WV!!
The first SD Diver Ski/Snowboard Trip!!

I would like to extend an invitiation to all SD divers and non-diving friends to come and hang out with the one and only DC/NOVA/MD SD group for a ski trip!! Beginners are also welcome to join me on the bunny slopes!

For those of us in the local DC area -- we will be heading out of DC early Saturday morning, hit the slopes Saturday and Sunday and come back Sunday night.

Original post updated! Thanks girl...this will be a blast..l used to ski Snowshoe and 7 Springs all the time when I lived in NC, VA & MD!

This almost makes me want to go and be an uh...'lodge bunny' again!!! I could always dive in the hottub!!!

Never been skiing before, so hopefully there are some other newbs that will either be taking lessons or enjoying the bunny slope with me and Vanessa. Now the question is, skiing or snowboarding. hmmmm

Matt I only went skiing once for three days. So I am a newbe too

I have two friends who are interested in going. One of them told me he will pay as soon as he comes back from a race this weekend and the other one is still thinking about it. You can put her under the "interested" list.

The name of the guy who is going to pay is Mike and the girl who is interested is Laine...Great people (even though one of them is a Seminole...LMAO!)

As for you my dear Doris....getting me to do cold stuff again is very difficult...seems I have a low thyroid condition that makes me very susceptible to cold...in fact cold is painful to me. But if I get that close to skiing I'll want to hit the slopes again...and yes it will be the bunny slopes (that's the term for the beginner slopes) but that's ok. After not skiing for almost 10 years...hm...that is only 2 years less than I've been diving...I'll need to start all over again. They say its like riding a bike...but I'd rather not risk it and take some lessons with anyone else that is a beginner. Oh this is sooooooooo tempting! You guys are so great you can even make DIVING INTO SNOW seem like fun!!!

Unfortunately two of my good friends have decided to plan their joint birthday party that weekend so I'm going to have to remove myself from the list. Y'all have fun though. See ya at the happy hour tomorrow night.

OK, Laine is out. She hurt her ankle skiing this past weekend and doesn't think she is going to be able to ski for a while.

Mike and I are going for sure. After last night he was definitely convinced that he would have a good time.

I'm in and ready to go . Of course since the only sking I've ever done was on 80 degree water being pulled by a boat I think I'm classifed as a newbie also

Alright.. so far.. we got an updated list. We got a large and really fun group coming and we have room for 3 more. So if you are interested -- contact me ASAP to get in!

Also, we are leaving out Friday evening, skiing Saturday and Sunday and retunring Sunday night.

Hum, I'm not sure if photographic evidence is a good idea. If my boss sees pictures of me having fun in the snow I won't be able to complain about him moving me up here from FL. I'd hate to lose that bargaining power
