I spent two weeks in Kosrae (Federated States of Micronesia) at the Kosrae Village Resort http://www.kosraevillage.com and it was the most incredible experience I have had yet. The coral is beautiful and there are far more fish (and beautiful ones at that) than anywhere else I've been. I almost called my dad and told him to sell my stuff that I wasn't coming home! I highly recommend this place. Bruce and Katrina (the owners) are wonderful and very helpful. They give the best personalized dive tours and are the best at making sure you have a the experience of a lifetime. If you want that "deserted tropical island" feel, this is a great place to get it.

I also stayed for 12 days at Jean-Michel Cousteau's Fiji resort http://www.fijiresort.com and was lucky enough to be able to dive with him and some of his employees from his Santa Barbara facility. The resort was absolutely stunning ... you will want for nothing. The food is wonderful, the help is gracious, you can even book a massage on the beach, rent your own private island for the day, be seranaded at your own private candlelit dinner on the pier. The diving is great and there are so many different types of dives to do. One of the highlights of my trip was seeing a white-tip shark nursery under a coral head. Fascinating, made even more so when we turned around and saw Mommy Shark cruising the neighborhood behind us.

I've lived on Guam and Okinawa (and of course dove there) and I've visited Palau and Bali and did some diving. My dream trip is Fiji.
