I would if I had the cash to invest in a CCR, in a heartbeat no less


It doesn't have to be outrageously expensive, if you're creative.

Once I'm set up again, I'll be tootling around the home shop, making some bits & pieces I need. I'm sure it'll scare the bejeezus out of a few people, but it ain't rocket science!

Looks like a couple of Dr. Bob's units cost under $200, not counting the tank(s) & regulator(s). If nothing else, the CEDU pages are a good laugh. So far, I've burned a couple of grand in parts and pieces.

There are people out there doing some intresting stuff in their garages and basements....ranging from excellent to down right scary but all of it fascinating.Someewhere I have a link for a really cheap rebreather featuring a 2L pop bottle along with a few plastic bits,I'll try and find it.
