You clicked on a smiley, and it ended up at the *bottom* of the page, not where you'd just moved your mouse to? It's 'cos the board is doing the insert (not your browser), and it didn't know you'd moved the mouse.

Next time, click the mouse where you want it and then hit the spacebar before you click on the smiley. The insert will happen right after the space. The board removes excess spaces (sometimes annoying, but...) so the smiley will end up where you wanted it, without the <cut>&<paste> step any longer!
