:D :thankyou: :diver: As I floating aroud the web today,it accured to me that I should add a link from my myspace profile to this site because on myspace we are aloud to do so and it helps get the word out but.....I don't know how to go about doing it.....I think I need a URL to make a link so people interested can just click over instead of having to enter the adress manualy....I've looked for other Q's like this but didn't run across any( I may not have looked in the right place) ...

I don't think Kamala would *ever* turn down free advertising! :birthday:
She'll probably want you to use the Home Page, though. It's in the process of a complete rebuild so it'll be a lot more user-friendly.

http://collect.myspa...faqQuestionId=7 is their basic FAQ,
and here's a quick example (since they don't say much about how to do it):
log onto your MySpace account, and click the 'Edit Profile'. Then just copy & paste the line below
<a href="www.singledivers.com">anything you want the link to say here</a>
That'll get the basic link, and the 'anything you...' text you replace with what you want to show up. If you have multiple things you want to do, it gets hairier but you can include any other HTML page formatting options. You'd probably want to put it in the INTERESTS section.

To get more complex, if you want to include a photo (like the SD logo in this case) you just change the line above to read

<a href="www.singledivers.com"><img src="http://www.singlediv...m.jpg">anything you want the link to say here</a>

In this case the <a href...> is the actual hyperlink, the <img src...>would remotely link to a photo on our site, the 'anything you...' is what you want it to say, and it ends with </a> to tell a browser that the link ends there. Any text you put after the </a> won't be hyperlinked to the earlier URL.

Always a pleasure! To quote a famous Canadian philosopher,*
"If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy." :lmao:
(shouldn't there be an "eh?" in there somewhere?)

If you want to get really fancy and put a whole web page or three in there, here's a few handy guides to the basics of HTML coding:
HTML Goodies
html code tutorial
W3 Schools HTML Tutorial

These are all great aids for someone that would like to learn how to make things on the web happen, or merely do a task that they hadn't known was possible. The last one has a lot of good examples with side-by-side panels of the code versus what it looks like on a web page. I use 'em myself when I can't recall how to do something. :lmao:

* And if you've never heard of the Red Green Show, what in the world have you been doing every late Saturday night? Oops, never mind. I forgot about *that*. :lmao: Never mind.
