Yesterday, I had the honor of diving with "The Shark Man" Manny Puig, and his crew, cameraman Mark Rackley and venomous snake expert David Weathers. They were training at Dutch Springs for an upcoming shark filming project in the northeast. What an awesome bunch of guys! We had a great day freediving and Manny and Mark were incredibly impressed with Dutch Springs, wishing they had such a facility at their disposal when training Meghan for her freediving record several years ago. Manny enjoyed interacting with the aquatic life, feeding crayfish to the bass and seeking out trout. David was working on his deep freediving skills being used to spearfishing and now concentrating on venturing into deeper depths. I'll be helping to train and develop David's skills in the near future and Mark has some ideas for projects in which we can work together to promote freediving. Mark was filming everything with a movie camera and he really enjoyed diving on the helicopter and filming Manny and me as we did swim-throughs. Of interest to you spearos, Manny has designed a new pole spear that you may view or purchase at his website www.mannypuig.com. I wish to thank Stu, Kevin and Andrea for inviting me to take part. For those of you who haven't yet been training at Dutch Springs, check out the website at www.dutchsprings.com. After all, what Dutch Springs has to offer freedivers comes highly recommended by the guys from Ultimate Predator Productions! To quote Mark, "This place is cool as @!&%, man!"

I met Manny a few years back in South Beach. He's an interesting one!
