Eventually I'll get my dive log typed up like I did for the key's Krawl.

In the mean time here is a little scuba holiday song:

To the tune of Jingle Bells:

Far beneath the waves
saw a swimming ray
cruising over reef
bubbling all the way

Oh slashing waves, splashing waves
Splashing waves all day
oh what fun it is spend
a diving holiday

Another verse:

Crashing through the waves
in a one horse power skiff
Breaking over crests
splashing all the way

Now I just need to track Mike down so that his recording of me singing this never makes it on the net :)

SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY:

Are you a writer? Do you like to share your diving experiences? Would you like to be PUBLISHED???

If so do I have a great opportunity for you!

We have several magazines that will publish stories about our amazing experiences if we submit them an article. It can be a single composition from one member or a COMPILATION from several members.

Let us know if you are interested in either writing the report or helping to write it. And as soon as we get our private forum you can do it there! :birthday:

Hey Mona peeps.... I'm really dry over here in Colorado... can ya help me with a few more details on the trip? I would love to dive but at least help me out by allowing me to live vicariously through your dives and fun on the liveaboard...please.... :birthday:

Heidi

Im working on a trip report right now and Im trying to get it done as fast as i can, but its a little slow writing right now.

to tease a little bit.

Diving on Monita ts all about the Drift, The Drift and nothing but the Drift (diving that is)! Diving on Monita no matter if your shallow or deeper toward the sand you will encounter walls, pinnacles and outcroppings teeming with life from small gobi's , to damselfish, grouper, huge tortugas, and even a gray silhouette off in the distance. This visual experience is made even better that because of the ocean currents moving around the island all you have to do is simple level and trim out and go for a ride. Not to mention all of the corals, and sponges of varieties and colors that seem only to be limited by there creator. As a photographer I could diving on these sites for ever as long as i had the gas supply to do so as it seems like the first half of the dive you are just amazed with the jaw dropping (serious dont loose your reg) site before your eyes. The rest of the dive you spend looking through all of the nooks and cranys to see everything you can.

If i had a rebreather only reason i would come up would be for more oxygen and to change the scrubber, and to put a new card in the camera and recharge the camera and strobe batteries) as there are so many possibilities to photograph, from macro all the way to wide angle. The images that presented themselves would very easily cause me to fill up a 16GB card on every dive there is just that much to shoot. No matter if you are a photographer or videographer there is plenty for you to shoot. I wish on this trip we had a videographer as this trip would have made one killer video.

Jerry i know your lurking in the background, there will be pictures but i need to get them sorted and into the database first. Good things come to those that wait as there are some amazing photos in what i captured

:thankyou: Just wanted to thank everyone for the offered drugs and advice after the "bug" I got kept me from breathing. I returned home only to find that the little guys from my fostering home had given it to me- everybody was on antibiotics back here. But, I still had a fabulous time, just watching the bubbles, learning from experiences that others were having, and picking brains of those of you who weren't afraid to talk to me for fear of catching something - just kidding! The liveaboard was great - Kamala did a fantastic job of pairing me with Kate and with D'ircy as my diving buddy. Great matches! I'm looking forward to the next SD trip. Thanks again to all who helped make this trip fun!

We had the perfect week to do our diving in the Mona Passage!

Since our trip, the waters around the west, north & east sides of PR have been quite rough, but the weather is still a wonderful & warm 85 degrees most days. Yes, I'm still in warm wonderful Puerto Rico and won't return to the COLD and SNOW until 4 January.

Once I'm back at my office, I'll try to upload some photos.

For anyone who is hesitating about joining Singledivers.com, just do it. Kamala (and her staff) is professional, fun, knowledgeable, and she does a great job matching roomies and dive buddies. It was quite nice to share dive stories with everyone on the boat, plus the trip was FUN. Thanks!

Susan

If possible, I'd appreciate some help on how to upload BULK photos onto the upload page. There's got to be a EASY BUTTON somewhere. It was an excellent trip & I'm glad to share photos, but don't have the patience to upload 503 pics one-at-a-time. Thanks!

Sorry, no EASY BUTTON. You have to upload them one at a time. it's not that big a job but as WW said in another post it makes sure the pictures you post are the best ones you have.

You asked, you begged, you pleaded, and now here it is. (I won't say whether you were for or against it.)

The first three days of Joe's Dive Trip Log.

Be warned, this is a massive wall of text, so far 4.5 pages in Word. Since I found it rather challenging to read in the forum layout last time, I am just going to attach it for you this time.

Hopefully posting this will keep me from putting off the rest of it for another month. :teeth:

Joe

He he well I can certainly pack the kitchen sink at time. that trip i just had alot going on before and after the trip and ended up carrying alot of gear.

I will be able to add to this trip report here in a couple of days as I have been working on the photos I shot and additional ones I was given here recently since i have a little downtime.

heres one to tide everyone over till I can get the rest edited and posted. While on the boat we had a little bit of a underwater photo shoot to product some underwater christmas cards. This is a example of one i helped to edit/composite
