Hello to all. Its been a wild ride and the rodeo is still not over.
To help everyone understand where each of our trips stand related to covid we are creating a special topic that will be linked to the main trip details topic #1 and will provide periodic updates as we have them. MASTER LIST OF UPDATES IMPORTANT TO THIS TRIP: COCOS COSTA RICA NOW __TBD___, 2023 or 2024
- Trip rescheduled from Sept 2020 to TBD in 2023 or 2024
- Pricing for 2023 & 2024 is the same and higher than 21 of course but only about $100* more to the member (see below) which is not that bad and which is normal and expected due to increased costs of food, services etc due to covid. (Yes deals will be found for specific timeframes but no entity expecting to remain in business will be lowering prices across the board for 2023 or 2024 from their 2020 pricing. And most have to increase them with Cocos being one of those entities.
- *Since SD.com prides itself on taking care of its members...we have agreed to absorb half of the $200 price increase so our members only pay $100 extra and not $200.
- We have NOT set a new date yet but hope to VERY soon NOW THAT COSTA RICA IS OFFICIALLY OPEN AS OF 10-26-20. (This process has been quite slow due to ongoing nature of other trips continually cancelling.)
- At this time there are no add'l discounts available but we are looking at possible re-opening discounts when and if the new pricing is updated for future trip goers.
Traveling to Costa Rica now!
- Costa Rica will be completely open starting November 1 to guests from all countries.
- The Costa Rica government also has eliminated the PCR test as a requirement as of Oct 26th U.S. citizen tourists from these states wishing to enter Costa Rica must complete a digital epidemiological health pass, and purchase travel insurance that covers accommodation in case of quarantine and medical expenses due to COVID-19*.
Currently ONLY DiveAssure.com covers covid related quarantines, cancellations etc. Please contact them to learn more! (And tie your account to SD.com so in the event of an emergency we can assist you faster since most likely we will be the ones to speak on your behalf!)
