as many of you know, Michelle and I have been dating almost a year now and the wear and tear of seeing each other only a weekend or so a month has taken its toll...in a very good way.
My house is on the market...
I resigned my day job last week and my last day on the job will be August 3rd.
The movers come get my stuff on August 10...
Michelle arrives on the 11th and on the 12th, she and I will start the long cross country drive back to her place, where we will start a new life together...
OH...
MY....
GOD.....
LOL....I can't wait!

That's quite a long drive together. I bet it will be a good relationship builder. Some of the best fights I've had with my wife have been in the car. Don't be embarassed to ask for directions if you have to, but, only after the third wrong turn . Are you going to see the world's biggest ball of string?
Good luck and congratulations to both of you.

So you want to leave New York for Canada do you??? Here are a few tips for when you cross the border, so you don't stick out too much...
The Canadian Alphabet is A, B, C, D... etc. and not the New York version of #%&@'ing A, #%&@'ing B, #%&@'ing C,... etc.
Simon - you crack me up! You'll appreciate this... my friends daughter while at her preschool was asked to sing her ABCs. She started out #%&@'ing A,B,C,D,E,F,G....
The teacher though she had a tough time not losing it, quickly corrected her. That afternoon my friend got a call from her daughters teacher AND in turn had a nice little chat with her husband at home!
Tolly & Michelle - That's great. Wishing you the very best!

And enjoy the cross country road trip. It's better than flying (and always better with someone you love!).

If you have never driven across country it is a wonder to behold.
That is true. My family did it when I was young and I will never forget it. But, becareful about taking short cuts on mountain roads in Idaho, or you'll be wondering if you will make it out alive.
