Now I still think we should do another event after the July 10th dives. Heck, I might even be convinced to host it at my house if you'll all keep your eyes closed shut (can't guarantee I'll have time to clean it). Might even pull out an underwater video or more to put everyone to sleep.

I think this is a great idea, Dr. Bill. I will check my ferry schedule that day, because I am boarding the Great Escape for a day of diving at Santa Barbara Island with the sea lions on the 11th... Maybe I can have ONE drink with you all...Now I still think we should do another event after the July 10th dives. Heck, I might even be convinced to host it at my house if you'll all keep your eyes closed shut (can't guarantee I'll have time to clean it). Might even pull out an underwater video or more to put everyone to sleep.

Gee Sapphire... diving with the sea lions at Santa Barbara Island sounds great. Although I've been to the island, it is one of two Channel Islands I haven't dived yet. Unfortunartely I had a "bad" experience on the Great Escape last time (didn't go reportedly because of "weather and ended up at poor sites on Catalina instead... grrr). Hope your trip is much better.

I want to thank everyone who showed up, incuding the long haul people who drove as far as they did to be there. It was great to meet everyone and I hope I get a chance to do it again.
The gathering was a lot of fun and everyone was so friendly. A great group of people. If you can just get some warmer water to dive in, I'd consider moving. lol
