December 8th, 2006 – Plano Texas
Limited Release until December 15th, 2006

White Eagle Photography is proud to announce release of “Strength & Honor” which is the first image in a limited edition series that will be released over the next 60 days featuring the wild horses of Shackleford Bank, North Carolina.

I came into contact by chance in the fall of 2005 with three of less than 60 horses that live on this barrier island. It was during this chance encounter that one of the wild horses named Mystic, a young black stallion watched my every move as to protect the mare, Anne, as it reminded him of a knight protecting his beloved, hence the images name. Even though my time on the island was brief, it was truly awe inspiring to see how these powerful animals have remained unchanged by the hand of man for centuries. Daniel felt that he was being watched rather than the one watching.

Historians recount that Sir Walter Raleigh intended to settle the Virginia colony, but his ships ran aground on the shoals around the Morehead inlet. In 1997, the bloodline of the Shackleford horses was certified to be descendants of horses in the Spanish Mustang Registry. Today, this bloodline remains only in three populations of horses in the world with one in the horses of Shackleford Banks. The wild horses of Shackleford bank are truly unique in that they have survived on this barrier island for over four centuries with very little human interaction or control. Their adaptation to this environment is amazing as their diet consists of normal vegetation and shellfish.

A master printer took my vision and brought it to life on metallic paper that creates a dramatic effect. Due to the manor in which these prints are produced No two prints will be exactly the same. The “Strength and Honor” print in the edition is limited to 50 numbered -16”x20” prints.

Additional information & edition pricing on the print is available in the PDF below.

To those who haven't seen Tooth's work, I can only tell you that a view over the Internet does not do it justice.

Attached is the 1st print in the edition just prior to me signing, titling, and numbering. The first print was bought by my grandmother an hour after seeing the annoucement. my grandmother is a big collector of my work, and she loves horses so she had to have one.

Beware the image is almost 2 mb, and like Howard said the images in the PDF and here really do no justice to the print as it is "amazing" and should be seen in person according to those that attended the Dallas HH last week

Update:

Im having to change the framing option(like the example in the post 5) for the edition as i cant the quanitity i need to complete the edition. I do a couple of these frames so if you would like this style just make a note of it. Once i have the new frame in-house i will post it.

Also i will be adding a second framing option. I will update the Flyer and then repost.

The following attachment is the full disclosures of the details of the Strength & Honor Edition prints and numbers.

This is required in certain states in the US for fine art sales, and since there is a good chance that at some point one of these prints will be sold in a state that requires this disclosure Im going to go ahead and put it out there for public reference.

if there are any questions feel free to contact me.
