I tend to pack old clothes and jettison them before heading home.When packing, make sure you put at least one change of clothes in your carryon. That way if your bags are lost or delayed, you have a change until you can replace them.
FWIW, normally don’t carry any real clothes with me. I found that when I get to the location, I figure out what I need, clothes-wise, and just buy it there. I dress like crap anyway.
