So what day is the "red light district tour?" I didn't see that on the list! :diver:

I don't know what to expect from my first SD trip, I guess I'm still a *virgin* so go easy on me. :cool1:

I'll have my computer with me and will be most happy to help put together a slide show/picture contest if everyone wants to give me their submissions. I will not be participating in the contest, so I will be unbiased when putting the show together, (but I do except cash!) :D

If we do want to do something like that, I'll put together some sort of montages of the trip and give everyone a copy when we get back. All I ask is that each person make sure they bring cables for their camera to connect to a USB port. (I'll bring a bunch, but you may have a proprietary cable.)

As for games, I vote for underwater STRIP poker! I mean, lets make it interesting if we are going to do it. :D

Sorry I don’t have more input. Once the trip is over, I’ll be able to tell you exactly what we should HAVE done! :P

I'm offering to teach a Fish ID class for everyone; and, if anyone is interested, teach a Fish ID Specialty Certification Course (PADI and/or REEF).

Costume Party or not?
Would anyone like a costume party? If so what would be a good theme????

It looks like you already have a fairly comprehensive schedule and a costume party would probably work if it could be tied into an already established evening. As for theme... Hmmm...

- Hawaii 5 - O / Miami Vice, come as your favorite tropical cop or robber. Hawaiian shirts and hula skirts.

- Bond night. Come as your favorite 007 character, villain or Bond girl.

- Austin Powers 60's Psychedelic Groovy Swinging Bachelor Pad Party Night. Yeah Baby,... Yeah...

- 1970's Basement Party Man... Stoners vs. Disco. Zeppelin rules...!

- "Will you do it for a dollar?" (Definitely ADULT) party. Everyone pays $10 at the door and gets $25 in play money singles. Then you try to get money out of the others by doing things they want you to do. Be wild and creative. Whatever people will pay for is fair game, just negotiate your price beforehand and if you do it you get the cash. Whoever has the most play cash at midnight, or whenever the time limit ends, wins the real money pot.

- There is the ubiquitous pirate theme, but that has probably been done to death since Mr. Depp's movies.

My 2 PSI. I looked to see if I could set up a poll based on these choices, but could not find the code to do it. Feel free to add your own choices and mock one up.

These are some great ideas.

My only comment is to limit the cosutmes to stuff that can be easily fix in lugage.

FWIW, I refraining with 2 ideas that may be to risque for the list! :cheerleader:

Agreed. The ideas were based on low luggage impact. :thankyou:

As an aside, has anyone noticed how when a woman goes down south on vacation she takes light frilly sun-dresses, head scarves, teeny bikini's and thong undies, but her bag ends up weighing >90 pounds...

One of life's many interesting contradictions. :cheerleader:

One of life's many interesting contradictions. :thankyou:

My last trip south I had 2 bags that totaled 90 pounds plus my backpack. I never did weigh it put it wasn't light.
I had very little clothing in those bags. Shorts, tank tops, bathing suits.
All the weight was my dive gear. :thankyou:
A shorty and a full wet suit, BC, 2 mask, 2 sets of fins, snorkle {in case I saw Whale Sharks}, various "things" in my "save a dive" kit. :cheerleader:
My regs, camera and housing were in the backpack.
I did have one bag full of things for the local school children. I am sure without that I could have easily kept my bag weight down to about 70 pounds. :blond:
