I'm sure many of you have heard about the loss of a diver on Bell Island in New Foundland Canada. I knew Joe Steffen, belonged to the same local dive club, but unfortunately never got to dive with him. God speed Joe.

I read about this on the other boards I frequent... very sad indeed. My condolences to his family.

I, too, am sorry to hear of this incident. There was a good article that another board linked to that talked about the accident, while also emphasizing the reason behind the mining project.
