I have never been to the Bahamas and have no useful insight..
I just wanted to give you grief about not including me in your plans....
I am sure you and TD will have a great time. Just be careful. I am not sending bail money this time.

Stuart Coves is a very good dive op. A lttle big for my liking but a very good op all the same. Some of the diving was spectacular and some of it was very run of the mill (read unimpressive) but we did only do two days of diving so I am sure there was some better stuff to be seen. They do their diving a little differently there, guiding the first dive and then leaving you to your own devices on the second dive. Go figure, George and I wandered off not really paying too much attention to our landmarks or compasses so we did have to do a surface visual to find the boat after our 3 minute safety stop - oops!
As for hotels, we also noticed that many of the hotels in Nassau were very run down with little maintenance. The only one that seemed to have gotten a face lift of late was the Hilton and, if I were to go back, this is where I would stay. If you want a really nice meal, check out Chez Willy's - a funny name for an extraordinary French Restaurant. The Poop Deck was also very nice although not nearly as nice as Willy's and, when all was said and done, no cheaper either.
Have a great time!

Well now that the cat is out of the bag, I can talk about the experience George and I had in the Bahamas when we went there just after new years...
