I just received the following from the producer for the 30-minute segment we filmed to air on The Weather Channel in October. A short 90-second version will be airing this week on the dates and at the times indicated below.

If anyone can tape this, I'd greatly appreciate it since I don't have cable.

I wanted to give you an update on our Catalina production for The Weather Channel...

The show is due to air in October but the small 90-second interstitials will air
on The Weather Channel this week. These segments will run during the dates/times
below.

Wednesday (3/21) and Thursday nights during Evening Edition in the first
20-minutes of each hour (9pm, 10pm and then 12, 1, 2 am EST).

And then in the first 20-minutes during Weekend View/Now (between 10am-2pm EST) -
3/24 and 3/25.

Or simply check TWC website - www.weather.com/roadcrew

Below are the segments:

Kelp Forest
Catalina Conservancy Eco Tour
Kiteboarding
Lobster Diving

These segments are just a preview of the bigger picture set to hit the screen this
fall. The full show will be in HD (High Definition)...Catalina has never looked so
good!

I'll do my best. We usually TiVo so I'll have to see if I can even find my VCR.

I think I still have a VCR hooked up in my back room. I'll try to record it for you.

Just remembered... TWC said they will send me a copy of the broadcast, so no problem getting a tape. Hope I represent the giant kelp well.

Well, I just watched the 6:00 broadcast and they had our local Catalina Conservancy guide taking them on a jeep eco-tour and talking about bison (a non-native species on the island). I'll keep checking at 7:00 and 8:00 to see when they broadcast the "main event" (moi and moi buddy Heather.... moi ha ha!).

I saw the one with the Conservancy guide, too. I watched until 10:00pm and had to go to bed. I get up early folks. So I missed drbill.

You mean to tell me that Catalina was not part of the American bison migration route, Drbill, I have learned so much from you!! :P

It looks like only one of the four segments about Catalina Island airs each day. Yesterday was the jeep eco-tour segment. Hopefully I'll find out from the producer which of the four days my segment airs and post it here.

That's just too cool. Our very own TV celebrity. Just remember, if things go bad, check into rehab. Congatulations Dr. Bill, nice achievement.
