I’m glad so many divers are going to be coming!. I Think instead of one or two divers bringing all the food..etc.. we should all bring something for desert or snacks (not required),. There are so many close eateries to choose from that we should all be on vacation. dig-out some of that old camping gear or stay at a nearby hotel.

Good Idea. No one wants to spend their time cooking, it's time to relax. Just some munchies and the beverages of your choice! :cool1:

So are most of you planning to go on the 12 and 13th?

B2B and SP i will second that as i have to many irons in the fire right now and a couple of weeks to add planning another event. Im only going to be able to be at athens on the weekend of the 5th and 6th as I have tentively scheduled my paramedic skills practical test, with hopefully having my written test done earlier in the week.

lets see my preferences food and beverage would be from two jimmy buffet songs, that or mexican and im good.

man I will be glad when schools over and my certs done then i can relax for a change. :(

I am planning on the 12th and 13th since I don't think I can make both weekends.

Now I just need to figure out if I want to stay in a hotel or tent... :(

:lmao: I may be free both weekends. It'll be fun to get wet again. I think the 12-13 may be better for me. Let me know if I should bring anything.

The possibility exists that I may come too. I'm in Florida the week of April 23rd and diving those bookend weekends (South Florida Divers in Pompano Beach--some good wreck diving just offshore in the Gulf Stream), then going to Cozumel with my dive shop on Memorial Day weekend. Don't want to get oversaturated on diving, but the party might be cool (my nitrox checkout dive was at Athens Scuba Park a year ago, and it reminded me that I REALLY don't miss lake diving). I have a Weber Smoky Mountain smoker that produces some mighty fine barbeque (ribs, brisket, pork shoulders...mmmmm...). We'll see...
I'm growing older but not up,
My metabolic rate is pleasantly stuck.
Let those winds of time blow over my head,
I'd rather die while I'm living than live while I'm dead.

Definitely come and join us. Agreed...Athens compared to Florida will be quite an adjustment, but the people will make all the difference!

Unfortunately, I am graduating on the 11th. Everyone enjoy the weekend. I'll be attending graduation parties!!!

Cajun, are you serious about those Astro tickets? Are they at home that Saturday?

Everyone enjoy and I'll see you at a dive event or happy hour some time in the future.

:D

 Congrats on graduating :fish2:

Yes I have 6 tickets to that game (6:05 start time vs Diamondbacks) but have to check with my friends first to see if they want them or not. I'll pm you when I know - either way I'll let you know no later than May 9th which is the Wednesday before.
