Perhaps we could also do a mini week-end trip in March or April when the water is still cool to see the big pelagic. Manta's, hammerheads, eagle rays...and the juveniles at Stetson.

Too hard for fly in's...blown out too often! But for locals it might be fun...

I would be game for a 2, 3 or a 4 day trip. No preference here. I have been on serveral w/e trips, a 3 day M/W trip and also a week during coral spawning. They were all great.

I work for dive vacations and love the FG, so I would book any trip that is decided on.

New to SD.

In the winter and spring months you can see HAMMERHEADS! But the weather is also iffy. We'll have a trip in March for half a boat for anyone brave enough to try it...but we usually choose July or August so that we can have the best weather but we don't see many sharks. Some saw a Manta ray on our last trip! kamala

I don't know that I'd do it again, but I will offer my opinion....

The 3 day trip seemed about right to me. I did learn a few things about the boat and experience that would help me better prepare. In spite of unfortunate weather, if was a great trip. I'm changing my desktop pic to this one shot of the Diver Down Lights and sunset right before a night dive....

Yeah I know: I've been branded a non-group person - doesn't play well with others. I am so upset. Posted Image Let me know if you want to have some fun, without the drama - I'm good for that.

Well I like seeing sharks but I'm up for see anything that I have seen before.

Are we looking for August of next year then? Is this a live a baord for these days or you go out on the boat every day?

Also do you arrange air fare for this trip and it is the price or we get are own air fare?

It's a life aboard, WD - much nicer and roomier than some, not as pricey as the luxury boats. See the recent report on the last one. We had rough weather for ours - a rarity this time of year, but it was still great.

Air is on your own or SD.com can handle it for a small shopping fee - and I understand that she's good at it. Local members often volunteer rides for fly-in customers, and they tried hard to accommodate us two - almost did, but we had to opt for the rental car. All in all, a great trip... Posted Image

Don -- I agree with you. The time frame we used last FG trip was about perfect, as we got in 11 dives.

I am going again to the FG in September, but will have one extra day and I will compare the difference then.

Seeing that FGs is basically a local dive for me, I will try to attend every SD version (unless something more exotic coincides).
