It is, isn't it. Hell, SingleDivers.com should have a page. I'll mention it to Kamala sometime - way after she gets back from the Red.awww whats with the negativity on the myspace.. i just got into to stay in touch with all of my friends.. thats my allure lol anyways ttyl
Maybe a nice Mod will remove the negative and off topic posts....??
Yeah I know: I've been branded a non-group person - doesn't play well with others. I am so upset. Let me know if you want to have some fun, without the drama - I'm good for that.

Not negative - I asked for reasons why folks use it... Personally I just 'don't get it'.....
Ok I'm kind of turned off on 'social networking' sites... A buddy talked me into signing up on 'Linked In'... it's a networking site for corporate america types I supposed... It then turned into a pseudo contest around the office trying to be the next Kevin Bacon as in 'seven degrees of....' and try and get the largest number of mutual aquaintences... and I just didn't see any value and it was just another portal for me to maintain... perhaps if I was unemployed and I wanted to chk out what people were doing and maybe use it to get an introduction to seperate myself from the herd...

Also, here is an interesting article about "social networking sites" from a middle aged British perspecive. Personally, I think they are fun and harmless and another way of keeping in touch with friends. I have already mentioned facebook and myspace to Kamala.

I'm not on myspace, but I do have a facebook page.... I was introduced to the site by my 24 year old niece!

Interesting article. I've found the same thing true of IM's such as Yahoo and others. None of my friends are on them.
As far as sites like Myspace, I feel the same way as Bill, except that I'm sure his condo is much nicer than my small apt, so I try not to spend much time hanging out here.
