Well, yesterday's highlights are quite impressive.
For one, there was an underwater marriage proposal! Not to mention my pole dance on the wreck boat. Complete with fins!
Then there was a great night dive, where I shallowed most of my bite valve!
Quite the trip, and it's not even half way over yet!
Everything I know about knots, I learned from Alexander the Great.

Today, my boat finally hits the Bianca C.!
PlatyCam is all charged up and rarin' ta go in it's little housing for this signature Grenadian dive.
If you're only reading about this, then kick yourself HARD for not coming on this trip. IMO, this is the best scuba adventure I've had since taking up the sport.

Yesterday, we did the Bianca C, and we are going back today.
I've gotten some great pics of sharks, squid, turtles (one of which dang near swam into my arms!)
rock fish, eels, crabs, and some people here said they even saw a MOOSE underwater, but I did see him.
Everything I know about knots, I learned from Alexander the Great.

Today we enter into the home stretch of our trip for many. We do our normal 2 tank boat dives and yes we are doing the mistress of the sea....the Bianca C. We will tie into her like a normal wreck dive and everyone will descend the line to the stern. From there you will either swim into the current to explore her outer hull or slightly drop off the side to see the passenger cabins or just go with the current and survey her like a reef. When you reach the bow you can dip down and see her from a quite impressive angle and finish your dive or turn to the left and in a minute or so be diving on a reef at 50ft to finish your dive. Whatever your experience level or desire...this dive offers something for everyone!
After our 1 tank afternoon dive those participating will be doing a boat nite dive. We'll have a SD HH before dinner for those not diving and we'll all gather for a western style bbq with ribs, chicken, grilled fish, corn on the cob etc with EVERYONE in a 'Tacky Tourist Costume'. Yes some will come as they are but most will work to transform themselves into TACKY TOURISTS!
The resort will then judge who is the tackiest and that winner will receive some nice prizes. We'll also judge our scavenger hunt and see who has won that contest. All in all its been a great week so far...we still have tomorrow where we'll be sightseeing, going to the orphanage to deliver school supplies and then ending up at Fish Friday a local fisherman's tradition where food is offered by the local fisherman caught fresh that day!
More later....

What an idyllic week--except, unfortunately, for last night when the resort was invaded by the most tasteless, poorly dressed and boorish tourist group you ever could imagine. You had to have been here to see it and believe your own eyes.
Oh wait---those were SingleDivers members competing in the Tacky Tourist costume party!
After an International Team of Judges determined the winner, prizes were doled out and then the party rolled onward into the night. Even Sparky finally turned up, reeking of excess like he usually does after he pulls his disappearing act.
It is going to be so hard going home.

....the restroom's over there Sparky. What? NO! NOT ON MY NEW SHOES!!! BAD Sparky!!!

I'm standin' here outside my door
I hate to wake up at stupid A.M.
But the dawn is breakin', it's early morn
The taxi's waitin', he's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so pissed off I can't dive
Grenada's so nice for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Some day that you'll never let me go
'Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Grenada, I hate to go
There's so many places I've dropped on down
So many places I've dived around
I'll tell you now, they don't mean a thing
Every place I'll go, I'll think of you
Every reef I dive, I'll long for you
When I come back I'll dive your shores all day
Grenada's so nice for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Some day that you'll never let me go
'Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Grenada, I hate to go
Now the time has come to leave you
One more time, oh, let me dive you
I'll close my eyes and I'll be on my way
I'll dream about the days to come
When I won't have to leave your shores
About the times that I won't have to say ...
Grenada's so nice for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Some day that you'll never let me go
'Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Grenada, I hate to go
And I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Grenada, I hate to go

WW put together a great trip & everything ran smoothly. What a great "special short bus" group we had!
Moose, my eyes are still blind from seeing the "Dark Side Of The Moose"!

Great trip & depression has set in as I am home in Texas on a rainy day now.
Ain't it the truth? I'm still adjusting from 'Island Time' to Corporate World this morning.
Feh. Why didn't I just stay?
