The viz can be surprisingly good here. Most good days it is 10 feet or less, emphasis on less, but I have seen it as good as 50 to 60 feet in shore. All my wreck dives were about 15 to 20 on the bottom. It isn't the Bahamas, but it isn't horrible either. Try to schedule your days around good calm weather with little or no swells ( I know, hard to do) and you can get good results.

As far as rough seas, no worries, heavy swells lift you right onto the boat deck after a long dive... :thankyou:

That's why you go inside the wreck...10' of viz is great!

As for the current, don't worry about it...it's not that bad.

Actually I'm there this weekend too if ya wanna join in. Actually I'll be doing Nitrox if ya wanna join in.

Not sure if I actually said it or not but I will be at Dutch tomorrow and all are welcome to join me wherever I set up. Not sure yet if it will be top of hill or with LVDC yet. Won't know until tomorrow. I'm suspecting top of the hill.

I wish I would have known everyone was going this past Sunday. I wound up volunteering my yard for a BBQ, too much work, would rather get wet...

Gotta work tomorrow. I would expect less crowd then than today which was next to nothing. I hear others saying the viz sucked but I thought it was fine. Don't know if I'm just used to kicked up viz or I dove other places than they did. I think its some of both cause I didn't get to the HellDiver where the complaints mostly were.

Haha that was funny thank you for that! I do a lot of diving at Dutch Springs and try to go at least once a week with my Dad. If anyone needs a buddy let me know and we'd be happy to dive with you! We are not "hero divers" and stay around 50 feet because I can not handle the cold right now much deeper haha! I love the dive community and it would be great to meet some divers my age 20-25!

Ahem! At first I thought the title said "21 females new to Singledivers from NJ" and I started to pack! Well dear, I'm w/in your age bracket, I'm 25 with 28 years experience! My charm and charisma will keep you warm at any depth. :wavey: :welcome:

Moose,

I'm definitely diving at Dutch Saturday. Maybe Sunday too, but, I can't commit to that yet. Amont other things, I was going to check out the barbecure that Adventure Diving is having both days from 12-2pm.

I'll be happy to dive with you if you're interested. Just let me know where and when you want to meet.

Let's see, 21 females x 86 posts per female... I don't think there is enough space on the server for all those posts.
