Put me o the list! The checks in the mail. Put me down for nitrox and 12 lbs of lead. If any of the locals have a spare 100cf tank they could lend or rent I'd sure appreciate it! I'm undecided on the early arrival/late departure. I guess I'll wait and see what most of the others are doing and then commit. I'd be into more diving or sightseeing.

Count me in!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Vacation is approved by the boss guy!!! Check will be dropped in the mail today!!!!!
I am open to adding local Florida dives to the trip, I would prefer to do them before the Dry Tortugas, than after.
Put me down for 4#'s of lead.

It will be great to see you again! Its been too long!
Punkie along with our great Florida members will helping to sort out all the plans. As I said in the original post...I can't do anything before the trip as I'll be in NC ...if anyone wants to join me there and THEN go to the Keys...that would be a great trip!

Every year, about 7-10 days after the full moon in August, usually between 9 p.m. and midnight, several coral species of the Flower Garden Banks NMS participate in a mass spawning event. At this time, coral heads release their gametes into the water column where they can mix and fertilize, later becoming larvae that settle to the bottom and start new coral colonies. It’s like an underwater snowstorm, in reverse!

Coral Spawn is shown in August (21st - 24th) Click here to book through SD and then go to the August calendar:So...I guess you would need to get one of those calendars that tells you when the full moon is, and then look for the Spree trip that goes out on that date.
Wookie could probably tell us when that will be. I didn't notice a trip labeled as such on the Spree calendar.
