Here is the post from the Editor on Diver to Diver message board

In the October issue of Scuba Diving we're lauching a new feature in the Currents section called "Why I Dive." Each "Why I Dive" ("Why We Dive" for couples or families) will include a portrait of the diver(s), a short bio and a quote on what draws the subject to the sport.

When the October issue comes out, be sure to look for the bio of Heidi Vanderhoof (pictured), a former pro figure skater turned professional firefighter, who shares her love of diving with the readers of Scuba Diving.

In the meantime, we're also asking readers to share their own "Why I Dive" photos and stories here on Diver to Diver. We'll check in from time to time, looking for our next diver to profile in print (Don't worry -- we'll contact you first!).

Here's the format for the basic info we'd like to have, then feel free to use this space to post away on why you dive.

Age:

Occupation:

Highest Level of Certification:
Why I Dive:

Thanks! I look forward to reading these!

Keith

I knew she was a surfer but didn't know about the skating. If we consider the steam she creates I guess that she works with H2O in all 3 of its states.

They don't also post on the net?

Nice going Pocho! I don't think they'd find me nearly as interesting or photogenic, I guess I'll not submit my info. :cool1:

Pocahontas,
:cool1: Your life will never be the same now. Imagine the fame and fortune you will have? Are you sure you will be able to hang at SD? It is a shame we never got to met before this. You will now think I only want your money. Sorry I started to day dream again.
congrats on the honor. Good luck

I would venture the opinion that Heidi would make a very nice centerfold.

I was on the Holbox/Cozumel trip with Heidi. I can personally attest to what an awesome diver she is, as well as being the world's finest spare air solution.

As far as what's under the wetsuit, I didn't notice, I didn't look, I didn't peek, I didn't take any surreptitious pictures of her incredibly hot body and virtually non-existent strips of cloth she called a bikini. I have no opinion about her qualifications as a centerfold, that's my wife's opinion, and I'm sticking to it.

No aquarium, no tank in a marine land, however spacious it may be, can begin to duplicate the conditions of the sea. And no dolphin who inhabits one of those aquariums or one of those marine lands can be considered normal.
