The question of money always comes up on a trip as in how much do I bring and what form should I bring it in. I've asked the resort for help and here is some feedback.
1. Credit cards are widely accepted and should not incur any add'l fees for processing on the island. (Do check with your own bank/institution as they often charge you an international transaction fee.
2. ATM's...make sure your card is set up to access atm's out of country. Other than that you should not have any problems.
3. Traveler's Checks...again they should be accepted but since most of your meals and expenses are paid for...having US cash shouldn't be too much of an issue.
4. Do I need to convert? No, dollars are readily accepted everywhere.
5. Don't forget to bring SMALL bills...20$ and UNDER!!! It helps for tips and keeps the amount of Bonairian dollars at a minimum.

Solo Diver Update:
Ok solo diver fans...
The resort has 6 40cf tanks and plenty of reg set ups for those tanks. Two of them may be allocated to the ccr guys (unless they are getting their 40cf tanks from Walt where they are getting their ccr tanks) but I think they are using the ones from Divi in lieu of their 80cf rentals included in the pkg.
Hey WW.... correct. we have not made any arragements for bail out bottles with Walt. the plan was to use the 40cf tanks from the resort.
thanks.
Totally off topic... my radial scrubber arrived yesterday...! Whoo hooo 10-12 hour duration here I come...!

Yes they use the Guilder. At some point in the future I believe there is a plan to convert to the Euro, but don't want to because of the horrible exchange right now for their US travelers.
