I'm on my way! I'm into the second day of my journey, sitting in the third airport waiting for a flight across the Pacific. Now only three more flights and two more days till I arrive on Bonaire! I may not be able to log on again, so let me wish all the rest of you safe travels, and see you tomorrow night/Saturday morning (as the case may be).
Come dive with me in Thailand!

I arrived in Bonaire tonight, and checked in at Divi. They are really looking forward to having us!

The transfer at the airport worked without a hitch, the people are eager to help any way they can, free Wifi works as promised (although maybe not in every room), and all my luggage arrived without incident. I took a quick walk around the grounds and it's really easy to navigate. They also have nice big lockers out on the dock as someone mentioned, so remember to bring a padlock.

I can't wait to get wet in the morning, and I look forward to meeting you all on arrival! :wakawaka:

Ok, maybe I missed this, but how would we be reached by our family in case of emergency?? My cell won't work internationally.

And here I was thinking I would already be winging my way to North America... still in Asia, alas ("and alak" to complete the phrase--can you tell I'm getting silly with excitement? )

The flight is NW 8, Seoul to Seattle, so why am I in Tokyo? :-D
Despite the fact that it's one flight number, it's two physical planes, and we're here in Japan to "get a fresh horse" so to speak (more silliness :P ).

So here I am checking in on you guys to see who's doing what.
Glad to see that Rick is on site and pumping folks there up about hosting our group. :wakawaka:

I knew I'd wind up forgetting something.... that blasted padlock! Rick do you think one of the little combination locks that we used to use to lock suitcases would do the trick? I still have those hanging off my luggage for the odd flight that doesn't pass through the US. With any luck, that will be the only thing I've forgotten. :blond:

In other news: SD mod cmt-something-something (Michelle) is now on Phuket. I didn't get to meet her because we were crossing paths in cars coming from and going to Phuket airport. It's a shame she's not going to be on Bonaire with us, but I hope she has as good a time in my "playground" as I expect to have on Bonaire! :fish2: :diver: :fish:

Guess I'd better go find some food... somebody screwed up and there's no veggie option for me on any of these flights, so it's eat now or starve! (Though I could certainly stand an imposed diet to shed a little fat, I guess.)

:P Bye (and this time I mean it)! Safe journeys to all!

Ok - who all is packing lights for night dives....? I'm packing everything up and I think I may be able to squeeze in the portable sun and my camera rig and stay under the weight limits for my checked baggage... Gosh, I hope no one is weighing 'personal items'....
