I finally redid my dive master training (started 10 yrs. ago but couldnt complete it due to some personal issues), and finished it! as soon as my card gets to me I will be officially a DM! Hopefully I will be able to scrounge up enough cash by february to start my IDC here in Cancun. anybody know where I can get the IDC crew pack for under $500??

PADI just mailed me a package with savings up to 50% off on training materials. I believe it is good for December. Check on the pro site when you get your number to log in.

Congrats.

I start PADI Divemaster in January. Everybody says it's fun, but all the official material I've read seems to say it's the same hard work as Rescue. Either way, I'm treating it seriously, even though I already have a "real job". What was it really like?
I'm growing older but not up,
My metabolic rate is pleasantly stuck.
Let those winds of time blow over my head,
I'd rather die while I'm living than live while I'm dead.

Even if you never use the skills professionally it really helps personal development as a diver and gives you all sorts of deeper knowledge on many subjects. Well worth it... Good luck...
