Well its that time of year again...a new start, a new year and a chance to sweep out the old and whisk in the new.

So did you make any New Year's Resolutions? Or do you just leave those to others to do? And if you did are the same as last year's or do you have new ones?

Anyone want to share?

I'd start but I'm so busy getting some end of the year stuff done and the rest of 2008's trips posted...oh wait...

THOSE ARE MY NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS!!! :cheerleader:

Dusting off one from a few years past... And fortunately it looks like my Apt complex totally refreshed the exercise room w/ new treadmills and two brand new Precor ellipticals, so I really have no excuse....

Did 30 mins twice yesterday and today... The Bahamas trip, Christmas, Thanksgiving; talk about a triple whammy.... Target is 200 then re-evaluate if I should go for 190 or 180....

I usually wait until Chinese New Year to make my resolutions... it gives me about 6 extra weeks to think of them.

However, I have made the following ones already:

1. Dive less in 2008. I've done 300-325 dives each of the last few years. This year I'm targeting 200. Why? So I have more time to edit my existing video footage into product... and have more time for resolution #2...

2. Experience love again for the first time in many years. Not just a fling, but real love. Towards that end, I have been communicating intensely with a wonderfully intelligent and attractive woman. However, I need to make resolution #3 for this to be realized...

3. Break my long standing pledge that I would never date a non-diver...

Wish me luck in keeping these resolutions! It's time for change!

I don't really wait for a new year, but it doesn't hurt to use it to add some resolve to some promises I made to myself. Here's a few:

No more plastic burning. If I can't pay cash, I can't have it.

Lose weight. You wouldn't recognize me right now.

Accomplish something that takes some perseverance and discipline, like learning a musical instrument or a foreign language. "Ein beer bitte!"

Oh this is one society as a whole needs to come to grips with....!

It's one of my ongoing action plans, and slated to finally be debt free in a few months...
Another rapidly approaching is my degree completion which has been ongoing for the last two years....

1. Give up bowling (I do this every year, it is the only resolution I have succeeded annually in keeping)
2. Drink more
3. Play more

I'll let you know how it goes in 08.

What infuriates me most is the Feds confiscate more than my credit card payment each paycheck. Then the politicians have the nerve to lecture us about saving more. But I'm getting off topic (and off my soapbox).

I worked WAY too much in '07.

My resolution for '08 is literally to PLAY more!!!

I have become a dull girl and that's not going to continue.

I'm ready to get started!!!! :welcome:

My 2005, 2006 and 2007 resolutions to find a scuba diving bikini model with a private jet didn't pan out so I will abandon that one for 2008... :welcome:

So 2008 will bring new opportunities for me and I hope to have a new house and get as much debt paid off as I can.

Oh and Thailand... Cannot forget that little goal of mine...
