Well as my excitement builds for the trip, I have just received some fabulous news. I can't share right now, but will on the trip. We will definitely be celebrating

Hey everyone,
I've run into a bit of a problem finding new money here in the Denver area. All my bank had was $1. Anyone have any suggestions. If I exchange dollars in Singapore do I have the same issue?

Hey everyone,
I've run into a bit of a problem finding new money here in the Denver area. All my bank had was $1. Anyone have any suggestions. If I exchange dollars in Singapore do I have the same issue?

Not sure you can get the currency you want but I would not sweat it. The rooms in Bali are $35 d/o and $70 s/o a night. If you just pay in dollars you'll pay a small fraction in exchange fees...less than a dollar by far so not worth the stress.
I will also bring a number of new hundreds and fiftys with me. Kamala
p.s. please don't forget your check books...so we can settle up for the extra nights in Bali. Thanks everyone! k

I got a confirmation from the resort but I have been way to busy to complete and send in the form. Did you send the info in for me? If not I'll try to get it done today.
Also I do want to take Bruce's class so I'll be sending the $100 for the class.
Bruce if you see this are they just standard books for underwater photography? Is it a PADI course?

Yes its the PADI class. I will email you the forms you can fill out in advance (I"m sending them to Rosa too!) Get the book and do the knowledge reviews and get the white balance slate pkg.

I wish!!! Nope, I will be making dive 100 not 200! so you still have me beat, lol.........IMPORTANT REMINDER:
Do not forget your school supplies. We will be giving them to children in Bali...and that will be less weight on the Wakatobi portion of the flight.
Got them.. Need to check my weight :-).
And BTW, if you are still keeping up with milestones, Karen posted earlier that she will make dive 200, I will be making the relatively lowly dive # 150.
Yes, I just realized that. I think I was reading Magarita's post about her possible 200th dive. And I believe Carla also posted that she will make 200!!!

BTW, if we go to any of the monkey temples/ sanctuaries, I have been warned to take nothing on you that the monkeys will grab. Evidently, they even take things like the sunglasses off your face, jewellery off your neck/ ears and can grab your wallet out of your pocket etc. They sound like pretty savvy monkeys to me!!

That's just WRONG! If your username truly indicates where you are working (in China)...I can't believe someone is making you work over the National Holiday!! Even us lowly expat teachers got the National Holiday off when I worked in Guangzhou. File a complaint. Start a petition. Oh yeah, you're in CHINA....never mind!!!

Good advice anywhere around monkeys, remember the ones in Roatan? They stole sunglasses and got into the room services cleaning supplies!
