Well I'm with you there Scubafanatic - I go wherever I can afford to be underwater as often as possible.

But really a girls gotta dream! Why else do I get all those dive mags and have so many locations bookmarked on my computer? :cool1:

...well, for what it's worth, I guess I'll put down that my 2008 'dream trip' is my early Dec 08 liveaboard trip on the Nautilus Explorer/Socorro Islands itinerary......I spent a week on the Don Jose/Sea of Cortez itinerary a couple years ago...and I'd have to say it was overall the healthiest / life filled dive location I've ever experienced (although the Asians had already fished out all the Hammerheads that were once so prevelant there...sigh).......so I have high expectations for my 2nd 'expedition' to that neck of the woods...plus I've already reserved a larger-capacity HP 100 tank on the boat...so I'll be divin' my brains out there! :o

What is your dream dive trip? Do you spend as much time surfing the web, pouring over dive mags and daydream planning dive trips as I do?

At the top of my short-list dream trips – this one has been in the research stage (my travel books are worn thin) and saving stage for the past couple of years. I have burned up the ‘email’ lines as well, to most of my planned stops. I’ll have the funds by 2010 …. In theory. Or one of these days I may just say screw it and CHARGE ahead! Of course all my ‘dry’ friends think I’m nuts so I’ll be traveling on my own as usual – unless any of you lot want to join me? :-)

Anyway my dream trip…. it’s 5 -6 weeks of cultural exploration and daily diving as I work my way through Micronesia. First a few days each diving Siapan and Guam, then on to Chuuk, for several days. I’m excited to see all the WWII wrecks. Then Yap for tons of diving (Manta’s) and exploring all the islands. I want to go to the Forbidden Island. I don’t care what’s there – it’s forbidden so I must find a way to go! I want to try living ‘native’ with a local family part of the time. Then finally, I’d like to spend at least a couple weeks in Palau diving and exploring – also spending some time living with the locals.

This is only ONE of several that I have completely planned and routed out, only waiting for proper funding!

Stacy :cool1:

PS I speak publicly for a living, and always love to talk – as you may be noticing it transfers easily to the written word~

That is just about the same dream trip I want to take in 09
At least 4 weeks and 15k but loads of fun. I can do that!

I just want to be underwater!

Well up to 07/18/2008 it was Truk Lagoon :lmao:
Do to certain fuel events I have changed from Truk to diving the propellers on the Mighty O in Fl.
Both will take alot of money but one is closer to me :o

We are talking about doing Truk in January 2011. Is that far enough out to save up your pennies?

Okay, I will bite on this one. I can not say that I have a "Dream Dive Trip" because all dive trips are dream dive trips to me. But this is what I am currently thinking and plan to do in 2009.

I plan to join SD in Dry Tortugas except that I will go the long way to get there. I will drive from Houston, giving myself several days to get to Key West. Along the way, I will stop at various places to get in some diving and to spend the night. After all, it is 1400 miles and 22 hours from Houston to Key West. Among the places I will stop at include Pensacola to dive the Oriskany and Key Largo. On which end of the trip I would dive the Oriskany would depend on which day the trip to Dry Tortugas goes out. Anyway, I figure that this would be a pretty cool road trip!

Mitch that's tasteless commercialism :cool2:
I would never post that I am diving the Flower Gardens with SD next month Aug 13th thru 17th and there are at least 9 spots available to those who want to join us..
because that would be Tasteless Commercialism to :wakawaka:

Maybe I need to start playing the Lotto!
