I would have to say this was the best trip I have been on yet!!!

I have been to Cozumel, Roatan, and now Bonaire. Getting on the boats with your gear was the easiest I have experienced. The lockers were right at the boats and locked with my lock. The dive sights were fabulous!! I was on the Sunburst with the best crew you could ask for.

George said he had hot water problems, but none were had in our room. Only the one day that all the water and electricity were off for a while. Then I just took a dip in the pool. It was wonderful. Our room was in part of the resort away from most of the group, but it was spacious and comfortable. We had a kitchenette which caused the bathroom to be small, but the room size made up for that. We also had a wonderful view of the pool, palm trees and the ocean from our balcany!!!

I went to Casa Blanca twice to eat and enjoyed it both times. It was nice to walk to dinner and relax on "Island Time". A person can not get in a hurry in Bonaire for sure.

I enjoyed meeting all the SD members from other places and states!! Good group of people!!

Hello all!

Yes, we are all back from Bonaire and it was a great time! I also had an Ocean view, and while we did loose power one day, I did not have hot water problems in my room. The diving was great! I was on the Sunburst and had two of the best guides you could ask for. Susan, our DM, is an american who has even written a book about shore diving in Bonaire. She would get very excited that we responded to seeing all the "small stuff" as well as big life like the turtles. Rofino captained the boat more than guided , but was also a great guide.

We did get a chance to eat at Mona Lisa's and I highly recommend it. Great group, great locale and great diving, what more could you ask for?

As others have said we are back from a tremendous trip! I will be breaking this thread out and will give you a link. The link to the Bonaire Trip photo gallery is here! Please post some pics on the site...they last for posterity that way!

As I work to update payments rec'd for our other great trips as well as docs and such...I'll post more shortly. In the meantime I think almost everyone had a great time. I only wish that I had known about the problems a few of you had with water either no hot water or extra water in your room so I could have fixed it. I know the resort would have changed you to another room even though they were running a bit short on rooms...I think they had at least a couple of extra for just that sort of thing.

I had a great time, too, and met about 50 new (and some old) friends. "Great Work" and a big Thank You to Kamala and everyone else in SD who helped pull off such a great trip with SO MANY things going on besides just the normal trip logistics -- Diveheart.org, Captain Don, the contests, the crazy arrival and departure times, all the boats, and everything else that went on behind the scenes.

I've posted some above-water shots in the gallery.
