I am back in North Texas, now. I spent 106 hours in the gulf coast. I will post more later, but right now i need a shower and some sleep.
I will catch you all later

Good to know you're home safe and sound.

Condition Yellow has been set. For the deployment teams. even though they are saying ike is almost a week out there setting this as Ike is tracking very close to where gustav did.
Also hopefully FEMA wont be such a Charlie Foxtrotting FUBAR and have all there stuff in a row as the gustav deployment was.
Im gonna get some sleep its been a long past week and looking forward is looking dim.
I need to get some diving in as the gills are drying out; but diving for FEMA isnt looking like something I want to chomp the bit at either; if you catch my drift.

Yes. FEMA being the only inefficient government organization, of course. Also hopefully FEMA wont be such a Charlie Foxtrotting FUBAR and have all there stuff in a row as the gustav deployment was.
It can rage all it wants for the next 12 days, then we will have an 8 day period of calmness that will make a Zen master go "Damn, its really calm..."

(Not trying to break the TOS, and go down the politics road) Only TSA/DHS could be more inefficient then FEMA in the case of gustav.)
Well I have been in contact with several major groups, including the Maryland SAR group (who ironically just left charleston SC, and is heading for pensicola for some training and fun diving on the O), Texas Taskforce 1, and several people at the NHC and there all about the same for where its aiming. Then there are several storms still on the African continent that havent moved offshore yet so it could get even more interesting in the coming week as there where 3 storms stacked in the atlantic last week.
