Of course, you know why the kilt retained its popularity in Scotland?

(I'll give the answer after a few others have had a go!)

Blowing raspberries at the Brits for trying to forbid it?? :thankyou:

I take it you mean the English - Scots are Brits too. But no. Anyone else?

Kilts have survived well into the age of modern aviation, because otherwise the English could not tell their favorite anecdote about the Highland sky divers using a kilt instead of a parachute :thankyou: :wavey: :clapping:

Easier to relieve oneself after a drinking session? No zipper to mess around with?

None of these. It's because the Highland sheep learned to recognise the sound of a zipper.

My son wears a kilt as often as he can. It's not the traditional plaid; it's made of denim. Called a utilikilt. When he got it he couldn't wait to show me that he could fit a six pack in each of the rear pockets, and that it even had a modesty flap. The girls go nuts over him - 6'4", thick rusty red hair with a full beard, in a kilt and boots. He's definately a rebel.
