Hey Marc!!! Woo Hoo!!! :cool1: You found us!!! And JUST IN TIME....we just had some folks asking to do an Ackumal Singles trip! Ok so maybe the tech group on the site is still fairly small...but you'd be my choice to spearhead some activity there and even some future dives!!! I ought to know...you are only the BEST technical advisor that my other venture Red Wet and Blue Diving has had!!!

Welcome and PLEASE do hang out here awhile!!! Glad you found us!!! -ww

P.S. We will have a full slate of trips as we grow...right now we have Bonaire in June and two North Carolina Wreck and Shark diving trips and Honduras in Sept. We have a poll to vote for future destinations under either the General Diving or Non-Diving forum so check that out as well!! :P

Thanks Walter,

I've been involved in a North Carolina dive charter with Wreck Winch over the last six or seven years as a technical and technical diving consultant and developed the program that they dive.

I'm a 41 yr old SWM with 31 years in diving including commercial, mixed gas, full cave and rebreathers. Needless to say, I love to dive! I also love the travel and people we have the pleasure of meeting in our travels.

I was a five term officer in a large north Texas dive club and am a charter member with the children's charity Toys for the Children, which distributes toys and school supplies to children throughout the Carribean region.

:sweetie: tekdiverx (fellow Texan)...glad you stopped by and hope that you will call this home. There are a lot of knowledgeable people here that are ready and willing to help in anyway, all you have to is ask.

Thanks for the compliments on the board and don't forget to take a look at our website at http://www.SingleDivers.com. We are constantly upgrading and would love to see you on one of our upcoming trips.

Again, welcome to our little place on the net.

Hey Marc...I've been talking to Jimmy about doing a SingleDivers.com trip to either Honduras or Costa Rica to help deliver toys....maybe you could help us with that? In fact I've been thinking about seeing if the board wanted to maybe adopt the Toys for the Children program as our official chairty...or my other favorite charity the HSA...Handicapped Scuba Association!

What do you think??? -ww

All,

Thanks for the warm welcome! I look forward to hanging around and contributing when/where I can. I will definately be at the Athens dive so I look forward to that one.

Kamala,

I can help with what ever you need. We had a big garage sale for Toys for the Children last weekend and will be doing another one before it gets too hot. I've also work with Harold Bernard and the HSA so we can do either or both. Just let me know what you need.

Woo Hoo!!! :sweetie:

I'll see you at Athens and I'll raise you Blue Hole NM in late April!

As for Toys for the Children...please post the details under North America events when you get them...maybe we can get a group to go and help or at least BUY stuff!!

As for Harold Bernard of For Divers Only being involved with HSA...that is awesome. I met the founder a couple of years ago at DEMA and have been helping him out ever since then. Too cool...two of my favorite charities...all involving diving too!! Life is good.... :o

Thanks Marc...I hope you'll help to keep us posted on things and you'll have a ball with this group!!! -ww :P

But wait til they meet you!!! THEN the fun will REALLY begin!!! LOL!!!

Hey Kamala, what do you mean LOL!!!!!! I'm not THAT funny looking without tanks on! :elephant3:

I'll post Toys for the Children events both here and on www.scubadallas.com as information becomes available. I'm not sure how up-to-date the Toys for the Children site since it is maintained by a third party but it is located at www.toysforthechildren.org

Also to everyone, when we are not in other parts of the world diving we spend most weekends at Athens helping Calvin move or sink something so feel free to join us, just look for the white dive trailer with all of the gear and a disco ball !!!

Hey Marc! Welcome to SD.com. Maybe you'll come join the party in NM? Sounds like WW is already putting the bug in your ear. It'll be fun. Cool diving (in the literal sense) and a great group of people.

Glad to have you aboard!
