Well i was trying to get to the forms and couldn't get them without a password but I can get them somewhere else. I'm not real sure about this trip just wanted to see what WW has heard if anything about the resorts and the flu thing and all. I guess Cozy is where the NY outbreak came from.

Just talked to my ex who is a Continental pilot and is going to Mexico City tomorrow. He says Continental is not advising the employees to do anything other than the regular handwashing that you would in any flu season.

UPDATE:

Currently Cozumel is ISOLATED and has not been affected. I suspect this will rapidly get under control just as Bird Flu did. I have seen nothing to be overtly worried about.

For those that are worried a general program of good health and nutrition will isolate YOU from problems. Since this is my day job I'd be happy to help anyone get onto a program now so they are protected!

A special forum is being set up and Punkie will send you the info as soon as it is complete.

While on the subject of Mexico scares.... the violence in the North along the border is very isolated and mostly inbred between Mexican police and the drug cartel. Its like having violence in NY or LA with the police and say drug gangs and then saying don't travel to the US because of the problems they are having. Cozumel is ISOLATED and PROTECTED from this violence.

Yeah, if you can take advantage of it, this is the time to do it. From Denver its only $280 RT. But the routing makes its a joke. Denver->LAX->DFW-> CZM. Leaves on the 28th, gets in on the 30th, 40 hours later

UPDATE:

Just spoke with a number of officials in Mexico...the incidents are isolated to Mexico City, San Luis Potosi and other interior areas. NOT COZUMEL. One reported case has been purported to be out of Cancun but it has not been confirmed. While everyone in Mexico is taking precautions...the govt's numbers are being revised DOWNWARDS of the number of confirmed swine flu cases.

This trip is in October and it is HIGHLY UNLIKELY we'll even remember swine flu then let alone it be a problem.

Hey everyone,

I was in Cozumel last week staying at a motel near Casa Del Mar and I can tell you the taxi ride is $7.50 plus tip if you plan on tipping.

Go through the doors out of the airport and head to the right, there is a booth on the end you purchase the cab fare at, they will give you a receipt.
Don't make eye contact with all the people in white shirts, they just want to sell you a timeshare! LOL

Also, I have a friend who lives in Cozumel most of the year and he said the cruise ships are currently NOT stopping in Cozumel as a precaution do to the swine flu.
But that's this week.
It seems to be Mexico City.
I am thinking this swine flu stuff will all go away well before October.

Please add me to the Interested, but can't quite commit llist!
