Ebineezer Scrooge is to Christmas as I am to Valentines day. BAH HUMBUG. Granted, if I were in St. Croix diving, I might be a bigger fan of the holiday. I seriously hate this "holiday". :cheerleader: :cheerleader:

My daughter's birthday is on 2/18, so today I'm taking her to our favorite salon for 4 hours of hair & nails & girl talk. As a new mom with an almost-2-year-old, she doesn't have the time or the $$ to do this on her own, so it's the perfect b-day gift. And, she's always been my "sweetie", so it works for today! :cheerleader:

Afterwards, I have 3 "proteges" finishing up their SSI OW classes with some pool work this weekend, so I'm going to stop by and provide any encouragement they may need. When they get their C-cards, I hope they'll sign up with SD and come on the Bonaire trip with us!

Tonight will probably be me and a good book.....

:cheerleader: You have to put a positive spin on it, Marty! You're actually extending your network of friends, dive buddies & potential students. Those are all really good things! :cheerleader:

Personally, I refuse to participate in a day engineered to give an economic stimulus to the Hallmarks and Godivas of the world.

I feel like I celebrated yesterday. I had to go across town to pick up my reg from being serviced....so I'm ready to go DIVING!!!! I ran into an ex co-worker and his girlfriend....so that was a nice visit. Then I took myself out for a seafood lunch!! All in all I think it was a good day and today I get to relax before working in the morning.

Happy Valentines Day!!!

I'm with you BeachJunkie and Dr Bill! I hate the Hallmark Holidays. Loved the Video Stan.

I'm going to go get my oil changed today, Yuck, I'd rather have a root canal. :taz: Where's Bubski when you need him? :lmao: Then I'll treat myself to the tanning booth and then the health club, and then come home and work on some more SD TC stuff.

Hope you all make it through the day ok. :teeth:

Valentines Day...that's what we celebrated two days ago and involved lots of sugar and hyped up children!! LOL!

Today I took myself to the movies to see "He's Just Not that In to You"...eh, it was okay, good for a few laughs... I have to say the Grand Torino was much better. Either way, not sure they were worth the now cheap movie ticket price of $6. (Yes, I am cheap!)

It's an okay day...but then I never seem to have anyone in particular to spend the day with whenever it rolls around! I'll at least round the day out by putting off doing my taxes for a couple more days... :teeth:

Have a great day everybody, no matter what you "call" the day!
