[Landlocked Dive Nut]

Hey, all members in the Kansas City region!

We're not gonna be left out of the National Happy Hour, celebrating the Wench's homecoming and SD's 5th Anniversary!

Even if it's just me drinkin' alone, KC will represent!

When: Friday, June 5, 2009
Where: Coach's Bar & Grill, 414 W. 103rd St. Kansas City, MO (816) 941-2286
Time: Flexible, from 7:00pm on

They are located in a strip mall on 103rd St. just west of Wornall. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, in case we have any smokers!

Who's Going:
1. Tammy aka Landlocked Dive Nut
2. Cass aka Hammered Head (even if I have to drag her along after our workout!)
3. Matt aka yacmandu

Don't forget about our Operation Care & Share! I will take any donated items & mail the package off.

Ooops! I forgot the Care and Share pkg collection for the other Happy Hours! We need to remind the other HH's to remember to collect for the pkgs!

Hey everyone...glad to see we have 3 so far...that is VERY cool for a FIRST Happy Hour!

And I think with your inclusion we are now 5 for 5 for the national Happy Hour event!

Hopefully others will join in but its about QUALITY and not quantity...but the latter will come when you have the former!

With regrets, I can't make the happy hour Friday in KC. I will be at work, bar tending at the Dutch Goose in Topeka.

Bummer. Maybe you, and some of the others in the region that I sent an email to, will be able to make a KC HH in the future.

They say "the more, the merrier", but we had a pretty great time at the KC Happy Hour with just 3 of us! Cass aka Hammered Head & I started early, around 5:00, so I could tell her all about my recent trip. We convinced another friend to show up - and we're trying to convince Todd to get his scuba certification too, of course - and he was our designated driver for the evening. It was a beautiful evening in Kansas City -- for being June, the temps were in the upper 60's with no humidity, so we were sitting outside. We called WW from the bar - and WOW they had some party going on in SC last night! They had lots of people having a great time in the background.

We had neighboring tables of people noticing our merriment, and joining in. Of course we talked to them about diving!

We got a head shot photo on Cass' phone and sent it to WW, for inclusion in whatever posting or podcast she gets put together.

Didn't see any other SD'ers show up, so by 8:30 we were a bit toasted and my clock is still off from the trip back from Fiji, so we headed home.
