Where are you looking to dive? I am sure there are SDers close by.

Hi rarnoldreit, not sure how North in Texas you are ... but there are three guys setting up some diving at Clear Springs Scuba Park on Aug 22, and even a possibility of some diving the 21st with some overnight camping. Check out the thread in the Upcoming events in the Central US Region.

It's looking like all the people involved in this get together are having to bail for this weekend, keep an eye on the thread and perhaps they'll be able to get together next weekend or some other time soon. Hope everyone can dive soon - somebody needs to since I'm sinking deeper into "back to school" mode... just escaped from a webmaster training today (don't ask...you don't begin to want to know!)

Hello Alex and welcome to the Forums! Our club certainly encourages members to get together and plan small group weekend events, but in case you missed it the most recent post here before yours was in 2009. We recommend you start your own topic in this Forum, just pop up one level to the list of topics where you found this one, click the "Start New Topic" button and start your own "Let's Dive" thread!
BTW the club terms of use require the Member Avatar to be of the member themselves, preferably diving as you see Heidi aka uwfan above. I will take down the current avatar and yuo should have no trouble uploading a fresh one (being a somewhat older BBS system the PNG or JPG image file should be under 100KB, almost a thumbnail by today's standards but at least then the upload won't upchuck on you.) Again, welcome!
Finally broken to the plow and harnessed to the traces. How may I help you today? Questions welcomed to charlies@singledivers.com
