Ah!! American measurements! Though to be fair we used to use "mil" in England, but many years ago. Largely dropped just for this reason - potential for confusion. Nothing to do with the compulsory metrication of Britain since we joined the EU. About the only thing I can think of that's still measured in "mil" is spark plug feeler gauges.

I'd be absolutely certain you want/need dry gloves. I've done countless dives in very cold water and I've never felt the need for them. In fact, I prefer thin (2mm) wet gloves in all cold conditions.



Wow...you even use wet gloves in cold water? You must be part eskimo :D
